| Customer Reviews: A Very Good Bike ! January 8, 2010 D.C. 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This bike is a really good deal!!
For $169 (plus shipping) it really is hard to come close to another great "folding" bicycle with large wheels! It arrived very quickly, and the seller has good communication. It was a sloppy delivery by Fedex, but I have been asking around and it sounds like no delivery company can be trusted these days. The seller put HUGE LABELS on it saying FRAGILE!!
Luckily nothing serious was really broken, just one inconsequential knob and the plastic shipping protectors (thank goodness those were on there!). One tire was flat, but that was an easy fix at a local bike shop. I also had them adjust the gearshift, which was 1 gear off, but I could have done that myself since the seller also provides two manuals, one for the Shimano gearshift, and one for putting the bike together, which is Extremely Easy! Most of it is assembled already. I can get it in and out of the car back seat or trunk or hatchback with ease. In fact I only rate it about a 4 just because I had to do that little visit to the bike shop. My local shop is a Snob Shop and refused to work on it, saying it was too cheap of a bike, but one city over the guy was really helpful, even though he could tell it was no $800 bike :)
I rode it all over the Rose Parade route on New Year's Day for the first time, and it was really wonderful, and I even got a compliment on the bike that day! Then when I took it to the bike shop, I got another compliment when someone asked me if it cost over $500, and when I told them the price, they were shocked! Apparently this bike is not only a fine deal, but a real eye-catcher!
I'm enjoying it quite a bit, and give this between a 4 and 5 star rating! You may need a few adjustments and a visit to the bike shop to give it a once over, but other than that it's been a treat!
Spend more, get more March 7, 2010 Mr. Bill (Phoenix, AZ USA) It is a folding bike, and it is inexpensive. The quality of the components matches the price.
